Take your elementary students on a Virtual Field Trip to the 7 Natural Wonders of the World. Students will complete this activity digitally using Google Slides. This field trip integrates multiple visuals, amazing 360 degree views from Google Earth, short video clips, and covers key facts and features of each natural wonder of the world.
Students will learn about and virtually explore the following:
- Mount Everest
- Great Barrier Reef
- Paricutin
- Rio de Janeiro
- Northern Lights
- Grand Canyon
- Victoria Falls
This activity involves very little prep! Everything can be easily shared and completed digitally using Google Slides.
Your students will learn key facts and geographic features, the history of the location, and will come away with an understanding of the seven natural wonders of the world. All of the video and Google Earth links are included within the slides. The links take students directly to videos and specific 360 degree Google Earth views. Students will "show what they know" by answering two questions per location.
This lesson can be conducted over the course of a week or two, with students spending time exploring one natural wonder per day.
